Rules of the Dales Council Umpires Association

  1. The Association shall be called 'The Dales Council Umpires Association'.

  2. The objects of the Association are to remain an independent body, create friendship amongst members, and to improve through discussion the efficiency of all Umpires.

  3. To co-operate with the League Secretary and the League Management Committee.

  4. The Annual Subscription to be £12.00. Subscriptions must be paid by 31st March. Should subscriptions not be paid, membership of the Association will be lapsed. No matches will be allocated until subscriptions are paid.

  5. Meetings to be held throughout the year, and to be published in the League handbook with the venues. All Meetings to start at 7.45pm and finish before 9.00pm.

  6. All Rules and/or amendments are subject to alteration at the Annual General Meeting.

  7. All Umpires shall strictly adhere to the Rules of the Dales Council Cricket League.

  8. A Sub-Committee shall have power to hold disciplinary hearings against Umpires and to take any action they deem fit. Complaints MUST be in writing and NO complaints against decisions will be considered, but points of law will be considered. The Sub-Committee shall consist of the Honorary Secretary, Honorary Chairman, Honorary President and 1 co-opted member. The decisions of the Umpires' Disciplinary Committee shall be final and binding. ALL complaints must be received by the Honorary Secretary not later than 4 days after the incident, and must be accompanied by a deposit of £5.00 which will be forfeited if the Committee find the complaint frivolous.

  9. The General Committee shall have full authority to remove any name from the Umpires list if, after full investigation, there is good and sufficient reason for such action.

  10. The General Committee shall have full power to deal with any matter not covered by these Rules.

  11. All listed umpires are expected to comply with the following dress code :- Black or Navy trousers, White Shirt, Tie, Clean White Coat and either Black or White footwear..

  12. The John Morgan Trophy will be presented each year. The winner to be declared by club votes notified to the League Fixture Secretary.
